Hot Spots; Bridges and Piers:

Jensen Beach Causeway: The Jensen Beach causeway is located off of Indian River Drive in Jensen Beach. The Causeway spans the Indian River and is a good place to catch many species of fish. The Causeway has two fishable areas; the pier side and the causeway side. The Pier side is a good spot for Snook between June and September, while the Causeway side tends to be better during the other months of the year. Don't despair though, the Jensen Beach causeway isn't only good for Snook, it's an all around good fishing area. Also, on the main-land side of the river, you'll find the Snook Nook. The Snook Nook is run by Happy Henry, and he'll make sure you've got the right tackle and the right bait to catch the fish on the Causeway.

Stuart Causeway: Only about 3 1/2 miles south of the Jensen Beach Causeway, The Stuart Causeway is another good place for catching Snook or any of the other fish that happen to be running at the time. Perhaps due to the underwater topography, or it's closeness to the Saint Lucie Inlet, the fishing seems to be better during the incoming tide, so check your tide charts before heading out there.
